WE&Company: Who Are We?

“One of the greatest treasures you can leave behind is your library, photographs and stories. They leave footprints back to home. That way long after the footprints have faded and some memories become forgotten, we have the stories that live in each photograph and video to honor those we love of both past and present. “

So many things divide us yet bring us together at the same time. To be quite honest loss, life and love is was brought us here. We spent years capturing images of moments that we never want to forget.

We are Shelby and Jordan Wormley and we are the “WE” in WE&Company.

Jordan and I both received video cameras as gifts when we were in middle school back in the early 2000’s from our parents. We didn’t have the best of the best but we always did what we could with what we had, our parents taught us that. We’re so so thankful to have parents who helped cultivate our passions and encouraged us to explore the things that made us curious.

We both did senior videos for our classmates our senior year of High School just because we wanted people to remember. We knew back then how fleeting those days could be.

We continued to pursue our passion for storytelling all before we even met or knew who each other were.

WE&Company came to fruition because of the people who are apart of our foundation, our beginning. Like most of you, we’ve met so many people during this stroll in the park that we call life and we’ve seen our fair share of hills and valleys, knowing we’re learning and growing all the same.

In December of 2018 we came up with our name WE&Company (Originally WE Media), because we wanted people to feel a sense of community and family when they worked with us. Plus, after one conversation with us, you would most likely hear us talk about someone in our family who taught us something along the way.

We realize not everyone has a family and we are so blessed to be able to say that we do; but we also know while everyone does not have a family, we all do have a community.

Sometimes it takes us a while to find and build both but there is no denying that family and community is what truly connects us. Our stories of love, passion, tragedies and triumph bring us together. Our food, stores and our cultures unites us and helps to feed curious minds to remind people that they are not alone.

Someone somewhere needs to see and hear what you have to say and we want to help people become and be bold enough to share their stories. It is how legacies live on and how memories never fade.

So that is what brought us here.

We created our Ohana Wall in our Lancaster City home last August. We’ve been holding onto these images since last summer because although plenty of people who have been to our home have seen it, something about really putting it out there feels so vulnerable but also brings a sigh of relief. You’ll find images of Sunday dinners at our Grandparents homes, birthday parties or just candid moments of time well spent.

We created this wall as an attempt to heal and to move forward during a time when it felt impossible, by celebrating and highlighting some of our favorite yet simple moments.

This wall is dedicated and was created in honor of Jordan’s little Sister, Jewell Alizabeth Wormley. Lilo&Stitch was her favorite movie and she lived by the saying “Ohana”. Jewell’s story is a fierce one no doubt. When she died last year our whole word was shaken to the core. We have experienced great loss before, we lost people who helped build our foundation, Jewell included, so we knew we had to honor them someway. Once we completed the wall, we would just stare at it for what felt like hours. We would laugh, cry, and sigh but mainly just stare in admiration of all the good times because those are the ones that last. Even while we’re going through a global pandemic and are currently living in a time of such uncertainty, one thing that remains constant and true is that family and community remain to be the glue that keeps us all together. Rememering the good times that give us hope during times that feel hopeless.

We want you to know, that just like you, our story has a lot of hills and valleys; but we promise you that you will always be in good company with us. Whether you’re looking to tell the story of your business or if you simply want to document a Sunday dinner or family reunion. We want to help you remember and preserve these moments because we understand how fleeting and important they are. We are who we are because of the people that taught us and showed us the meaning of Ohana.

“Ohana means family. Family

means no one gets left behind of forgotten”
