We had opportunity to spend some time in Kepler Hall at the YWCA -Lancaster to get to know some of the people and families that stay there, Elena-Beth being one of them. Women who live at YWCA Lancaster’s Kepler Hall Residency often come from abusive relationships, can no longer afford their current housing due to loss in income, or are transitioning from drug and alcohol treatment programs.

Advantage Lancaster (AL) is a National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) organization. AL receives funds from the United States Tennis Association Foundation for programming in tennis and education. Each year the Davenport Foundation awards students from NJTL chapters across the country $5,000 for their demonstration of high character as students and athletes. This year Genesis Meadows was selected to be Advantage Lancaster’s Davenport Award recipient. WE told her story, Meet Genesis Meadows.
